Curb is definitely one of my favorite comedies ever.  It's not quite as clever or multi-layered as Seinfeld was at times, but it ends up not really mattering.

The Wire season 5 episodes 1, 2, 5, 6, and 7 are on the internet.. only a matter of time before the rest get filled in.

Well they still haven't filled in the rest.. if you're only going to do half the episodes could you at least do them in order!  They did the same thing last year with season 4.  Half the episodes, not in order, got leaked.. then a few weeks later the rest showed up.

Watched episode 1 and 2 though.. good stuff.  don't want to spoil anything.

The hour-long or feature-length Christmas special or whatever episode of Extras has been on HBO a bit lately.  I keep catching it halfway through, which is annoying me.  The show is great, probably better than the British Office, and even with kind of a lot of dramatic "low points" where Andy acts like a Hollywood tool and everyone is depressed, it's pretty LOL right up to LOLZARS parameters.  This is a show I could see myself desiring on DVD, which makes it just about the only show I'd want on DVD.

Watched the first two episodes of the fifth season of the Wire and of course loved them. Can't wait to see the rest.

Extras is great.. I think I only watched the first season, now you reminded me to download the second.

but seriously yeah that was messed up.

Something I like about the Wire is that it all feels so real, so when a character does do something crazy like that its shocking. In any other cop show if a cop did that I'm pretty sure I would be completely unaffected.

Also I'm loving the media portion of this season.

Yeah the newspaper scenes feel very authentic, and that main newspaper guy we focus on.. I refuse to believe he is an actor he has to be a real newspaper guy.

Steve Earle plays the narcotics anonymous counselor guy that is trying to help Bubbles, and he also is a musician who performed this season's theme song!

edit: upon further inspection, the quality of this release eats balls, unwatchable.

I watched that nearly unwatchable release (it got better for the most part, but the first five minutes was hooorrible), then continued to watch 5 6 and 7.

Holy crap things are getting crazy. Let me know when you watch them so I can talk to you about it without ruining things, zig.

im prolly gonna start watching the wire tonight and tomarrow at work...wonder whats gonna happen if the writers strike keeps up....if some of these shows and movies wernt getting bad enough as is....you know who you are (half the new stuff on adult swim, carlos mencia, welcome home rosco jenkins, and the list goes on)...maybe this will be a chance to get some scabs in there that have some good material....i know id write a movie plot if someone offered me a few mil...on the bright side i saw the other night they brought back a childhood favorite of mine, American Gladiator....u know, that show with the roid freaks that beat the crap outta lawyers and high school teachers with tennis balls and foam rods I LOVE IT! congrats Kimbo Slice for making it to the UFC. He fights on febuary 16th on Showtime i think...either way it will be all over the internet on the 17th
